| Many military
containers such as Mil-Vans, the old "Conex Boxes" as well as
some Tricons, Sixcons and Quadcons are 8' tall. However,
many commercial containers are 8'-6". If combinations of
military containers and commercial containers are shipped
together, the overall heights of stacked containers can differ
from one another and this could create a problem for lashing.
The pedestal is also useful with open top containers and
flatracks where cargo is projecting above the top of the corner
fittings, hampering stacking or lifting. Tandemloc offers a
proof tested version as well, which can be used in lifting
applications. |
